CUBBON PARK
Shri Chamarajendra Park is more popularly known as Cubbon Park. The Park is over 140 years old, having been established in 1864. Cubbon Park was basically designed as a public park in an area of about 100 acres and expanded over the years. However, now the Park is huge and boasts of above 300 acres of Shaded Groves and greenery all around.
For the local people, Cubbon Park is a major lung space and a great attraction for the kids too. The Horticulture Department reveals that the Park has more than 6000 plants/trees.


The Band Stand located inside the Park sees Cultural Music being recited by Talented and Upcoming Artists every Sunday morning.
The Park also boasts of a City Central Library, opposite which lies a Spectacular Rose Garden which is a treat to Sore City eyes.
The Park also houses within and along its periphery such Landmarks as Museum, YMCA, Century Club, Tennis Club, Art Gallery, Aqarium, etc each having its own charm and attraction.
Children have thier own attraction with Toy Train, etc.
Vehicle Movement is banned upto 8AM, after which only Light Motor Vehicles are allowed making access very easy to the park.


Cubbon Park is the jewel in the Crown in the Garden City of Bangalore.
